Effective emergency response is an essential component of a management system. It must be based on a realistic strategy that will assure an effective response to control an incident and anticipate potential impacts. RBA have assisted clients in all aspects of the development and implementation of their emergency response organisation, including:

Development of Emergency Procedures and Plans

Planning and Fitting out of Response Facilities

Undertaking Emergency Response and Management Team Training

Running Emergency Exercises

Providing Emergency EHS Support

The International Oil Pollution (Preparedness and Response) Convention 1990 established the need for individual spill plans for all oil handling facilities. This has been implemented in regulatory form by individual countries (for example in the UK as the Merchant Shipping (Oil Pollution Preparedness, Response and Co-operation Convention) Regulations 1998) and sets the standard required of oil spill plans. Effective planning and training for emergencies are critical to successful response execution. In turn, your company's response to an oil spill event may have a far reaching impact on its local, national and international reputation.
