Dr Siân Powell
is an HSE management consultant and environmental engineer.  She has worked within oil and gas companies in the UK in the role of corporate and project EHS&Q Manager, co-ordinating HSE management and the consenting and regulatory aspects for offshore field development.  This has included surveys, drilling programmes, pipeline and platform fabrication and installation, Safety Case development, SIMOPS and regulatory liaison. Dr Powell also has expertise in project management of multi-disciplinary studies, specialising in the environmental impacts of hydrocarbon and water industry developments and the strategic management of waste disposal.   She has over 20 years experience in the quantitative and qualitative interpretation of information and data, licence application, legislative evaluation and has been involved with numerous environmental impact studies. Many of the projects have involved liaison and co-operation with authorities involved in the licensing and regulation of the oil and gas, water and marine aggregate industries.
