Siva Mohan
has an MSc in Operations & Services Management (majored: Project Management) and has experience in developing various project and management system framework. He is a member of SARS and IOSH. He has gained technical and management experience in assisting clients in the oil & gas and paper manufacturing industries. Prior to joining RBA, Siva has worked with Det Norske Veritas (DNV), Sonavision Ltd and Arjo Wiggins (Paper Mill) in technical and management projects.
His key competence includes management and technical consultancy services to major oil operators in areas of maturity/readiness assessment, project and management system audit, quantitative risk assessment (QRA) and safety case support.
Siva has also conducted a range of safety studies i.e. Fire Risk Assessment (FRA), Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA), Smoke & Gas Ingress Analysis, Escape, Evacuation and Rescue (EER) and TR Impairment Analysis for fixed and mobile installation.
Siva has conducted an audit of major oil operator’s management system and its application on a project by using a customised protocol based on PMBOK. He has also conducted a Project Start-up Review (Operational Readiness Review) for a major oil company where he was actively involved in development of methods and protocols and to ensure that the facilities and systems are in a fit and proper condition to allow production to commence.
Siva has also assisted a major UK oil operator to evaluate how their existing Integrity Management and Maintenance Systems are able to identify systems/components associated with elastomers in the light of recent HSE guidelines on elastomer integrity.
Siva has spent several weeks in offshore U.A.E as a part of the team carrying out a physical condition / asset integrity review of the offshore facilities of a major overseas operator. The objective was to establish and benchmark the physical condition of the facilities. The project included: definition of suitable condition assessment criteria; development of a reporting template and carrying out the review on a large number of installations.
He has also developed a ‘Project Management Maturity Model’ as a tool to benchmark project risk management performance and to assist with continuous improvement initiatives; and developed a ‘Project Selection Model’ as a decision-making tool for a major world-leading paper manufacturer to help senior management to prioritise projects intelligently and effectively.
