Dr Scott McKelvie Dr McKelvie has acted as Health Safety & Environment Manager for a number of international oil companies and has managed HSE issues for projects over all stages of the life cycle of upstream oil and gas activities from license acquisition to decommissioning. Projects have involved onshore and offshore operations for seismic surveys, exploration and appraisal drilling, field development, and production facilities. He has also been involved in HSE assessments of offshore decommissioning operations. Recently, he as been providing advice on management organisation as part of new country entry for E&P organisations in the UK and Norway and organisational change as part of transition teams for acquisitions. He has developed and implemented HSE Management Systems for a numerous E&P companies and assisted in the development of policies and strategic issues. He regularly leads audit teams in the review of management systems and as part of contractor assessment teams. He has also been involved in a number of research and development projects for industry and government organisations including the United Nations, UK Department of Trade and Industry, the E&P Forum, the American Petroleum Institute and the US Minerals Management Service. More recently he was addressed Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) issues for E&P Companies and service companies through the development of management systems, gap analyses against the Global Compact and annual CSR public reports. International experience includes work throughout Europe (UK, Norway, Netherlands, Greece, France, Ireland, Bulgaria, Poland), the Middle East (Oman, Yemen, Abu Dhabi, Saudi Arabia UAE), Africa (Namibia, Cote D’Ivoire, Nigeria), Asia (India, Pakistan), South America (Brazil, Venezuela) and the US. |
