John Girling
is an environmental scientist with experience of UK / international upstream offshore oil and gas operations. Skills include preparation of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), chemical permitting regulations, Oil Spill Contingency Planning (OSCP), regulatory compliance, OSPAR compliance, oil and gas environmental management and social responsibility.

After finishing his masters degree, John then spent 3 years working in the Offshore Chemicals Notification Scheme (OCNS) at Cefas (UK government), where he was heavily involved in the development and progression of the Offshore Chemicals Notification Scheme.

John specializes in the environmental fate and hazard assessment of chemicals, PON 15 applications and environmental statements / EIA. In addition to this John also specializes in issues relating to offshore chemistry, offshore chemical regulations and ecotoxicological testing and protocols.
