Catherine A. Brosnan
Holds
a Master of Natural Resource Management specialising in strategic environmental
and social planning for new and operating projects in sensitive environments,
particularly in relation to all aspects of the development and approval
of Environmental and Social Impact Assessments and stakeholder negotiations.
She has over 13 years of domestic and international experience in the
oil, gas and mining industry. Most notably, Catherine served as the
ARCO Senior Environmental, Health and Safety Manager for the Latin America
Region working many projects at all asset phases in the sensitive Amazon
region before transferring to Senior Environmental Manager for the large
scale BP Tangguh LNG Project in West Papua, Indonesia. In her latest
role she set new standards with respect to the development and integration
of a broad range of environmental and social issues in the early stages
of project development in sensitive environments including a biodiversity
action plan, a Diversified Growth Strategy, public consultations, workforce
management plans, stakeholder negotiations; relocation and resettlement
plans, environmental and social policy statements, national employee
mentoring programs, internal and external compliance systems – meeting
corporate and project financing requirements. Her past experience also
includes acquisition and divestiture due diligence assessments, permit
applications, advice and counsel on environmental compliance issues,
contract negotiation and consultant management, development and implementation
of waste management systems, line and management training development
and implementation.
