Barrie Blackburn
is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer and Fellow of the UK Institution of Mechanical Engineers. He has held Senior Engineering Management positions on operational power plants in UK, and on Power Plant construction and commissioning projects in Australia, Canada and Nigeria.

For the past twenty years he has specialised in delivering Engineering and Operational Safety Management Consultancy to a wide range of clients in some 26 Country’s worldwide, including onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities, shipping, nuclear and conventional power plants, mining operations and railways.

He was a member of the BSI (HS1) Committee, which developed the BS 8800 Safety Management Standard, and has delivered conference papers on Safety Management in UK, Holland, Thailand, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
